With the development of the economy, the technological improvement and quality enhancement of various products are accelerating, and the product cycle is getting shorter and shorter. Therefore, in mechanical processing, the requirements for processing accuracy are getting higher and higher, and the processing cycle is getting shorter and shorter. Some parts are expected to undergo all mechanical processing in one clamping, which puts forward the requirement of compound processing. Turning and milling compound processing is the realization of multiple different processing procedures on one machine tool. Compound processing is a widely applied and challenging processing method, namely turning and milling compound processing.

Compared with the traditional CNC machining process, the prominent advantages of the cnc turning-milling machine are mainly reflected in the following aspects.

 

(1) Shorten the product manufacturing process chain and enhance production efficiency. Turning and milling compound processing can complete all or most of the processing procedures in one clamping, thereby greatly shortening the product manufacturing process chain. In this way, on the one hand, the production auxiliary time caused by clamping changes is reduced, and on the other hand, the manufacturing cycle and waiting time of tooling fixtures are shortened, which can significantly improve production efficiency.

 

(2) Reduce the number of clamping times and improve processing accuracy. The reduction in the number of card loading times avoids the accumulation of errors caused by the transformation of the positioning reference. Meanwhile, most of the current turning and milling compound processing equipment is equipped with online detection functions, which can achieve on-site detection and precision control of key data during the manufacturing process, thereby enhancing the processing accuracy of the products.

 

(3) Reduce land occupation and lower production costs. Although the single price of turning and milling compound processing equipment is relatively high, due to the shortening of the manufacturing process chain, the reduction of equipment required for the product, as well as the decrease in the number of tooling fixtures, workshop floor space and equipment maintenance costs, the overall investment in fixed assets, production operation and management costs can be effectively reduced.
